DAY  1 Arrive Helsinki

On arrival in Helsinki you are transferred to  your hotel. Then time to relax or shop for handicrafts. Tonight, we enjoy a welcome  drink with our Tour Director.

DAY 2 Helsinki - St. Petersburg (3)

This morning a sightseeing  tour of the Finnish capital features the beautiful Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market Squares, broad boulevards and domed Russian churches. Then we  depart for our journey into Russia, passing the timber centre of Kotka.  From here it's on through the Forests of Karelia to the former city of Tsars, St. Petersburg for the next three nights. DAYS 3 & 4 St. Petersburg sightseeing & at leisure

The Tsar's Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, Peter and Paul fortress, St. Isaac's  Cathedral, the Russian museum and the statue of Peter the Great are all highlighted  on our morning sightseeing. During our time in St. Petersburg we will  also enjoy an included visit to the Hermitage Museum to visit one of the world's largest and most valuable Art collections. On one evening we enjoy complimentary  champagne with dinner, after maybe visit a theatre for a Russian folklore show? (BB D, BB)

DAY 5 St. Petersburg - Overnight train to Moscow

Today  time to relax in St. Petersburg. Maybe take an excursion to the elaborate Summer  Palace of Peter the Great in Petrodvorets. In this evening, dinner is at a local  restaurant before, we board our first class sleeper train to Moscow. (BB  D)

DAY 6 Arrive Moscow (3) - Sightseeing

It's an early  morning arrival in the Russian capital. Here we are transferred to our hotel for  breakfast before a sightseeing tour shows us Red Square, St. Basil's  domed Cathedral and the Kremlin Walls. Later. enjoy time on your own to shop or further explore before dinner is served at our hotel this evening. (BB D)

DAYS 7 & 8 Moscow at leisure

Enjoy two full days at leisure to explore on your own. During your stay, you may wish to visit the Treasure Chamber of the Tsars or perhaps take a trip to nearby Zagorsk - a centre of Russian art  and architecture, as well as once being the religious capital of Russia. Perhaps on one of your evening's you may wish to have a thrilling night out at the Moscow State Circus. (BB, BB)

DAY 9 Depart Moscow

Farewell to new-found friends, as we transfer  you to the airport for your return flight home. (BB)
