ITINERARY

DAY 1 Arrive Madrid

You're met at Madrid airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon why not take  a trip to nearby Segovia with its Roman aqueduct? Tonight meet your Tour Director  for a welcome drink.

DAY 2 Madrid - Toledo - Granada

Off to Toledo where sightseeing visits the church of Santo Tome, the Synagogue and a steel workshop plus view the Cathedral. Next to Puerto Lapice where, according to tradition,  Don Quixote was dubbed Knight by one of the local innkeepers. We continue towards the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Granada. Tonight, we enjoy a dinner of local specialities whilst being serenaded. (BB) (HD)

DAY 3 Granada - Costa del Sol (2)

Morning sightseeing takes us to visit the spectacular Alhambra Palace. Then we drive on towards the Costa  del Sol. Maybe enjoy a fish dinner in Torremolinos. (BB)

DAY 4 Costa del Sol at leisure

A full day to relax. Perhaps take a stroll along the promenade or take a trip to Mijas to shop. (BB D)

DAY 5 Costa del Sol - Seville (2)

This morning after breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive past the resorts of the Costa del Sol and on to La Linea. Later,  we will cross to the Rock of Gibraltar with time for duty-free shopping. Next on through the Jerez countryside to Seville for two nights. (BB  D)

DAY 6 Seville sightseeing & at leisure

Our morning sightseeing tour highlights the Bell Tower and weather vane of the Giralda. We also see  the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park and Columbus' tomb. Tonight,  why not enjoy the passion of a fiery Flamenco show? (BB)

DAY 7 Seville - Cordoba - Madrid (2)

Today's drive takes us through the Valley of the Guadalquivir to the city of Cordoba. On our arrival our sightseeing tour will highlight the Mosque of the Caliphs and the medieval synagogue. After some free time, we make our way back to Madrid, Spain's  capital, where we spend the next two nights. (BB)

DAY 8 Madrid sightseeing & at leisure

Today's sightseeing tour takes  us to the Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain and the Cervantes Monument. Our highlight  will be a guided visit to the world-famous Prado Art Gallery with its masterpieces.  Then time at leisure, perhaps take an excursion to El Escorial. Tonight, why not enjoy dinner in a typical 'meson'? (BB)

DAY 9 Depart Madrid

This morning time to bid farewell as we transfer you to  the airport for your return flight home. (BB)
